Following their most successful season to date, Team Edge Racing will return in 2018 as the Shutt Ridley RT, with Ridley Bikes and Lazer Helmets joining performance kit specialists Shutt Velo Rapide as team sponsors. For the team’s strong 2nd Cat contingency, the focus is BC Regional As and selected National Bs. On Friday evening, 81 teams of 9 riders lined up for the annual 9-up team time trial at the Silverstone motor racing circuit. Organised by Bicester Millennium Cycling Club, it’s a great event that raises huge sums for charity. It is open to clubs and race teams alike and has men's, veteran's, women's, mixed, junior and hand cycling teams all on track at the same time, making for a really nice atmosphere. Big Shutt Velo Rapide Race Team presence at The Bowl MK. With 3 races every week The Bowl is a good place to keep your form in between the bigger road races. With a week or two off a full 7 Shutt riders descended on MK. Ian Munday was first up in the 4th cat race. As the season is starting to get going, I decided pretty spontaneously to make the long drive down to Hillingdon cycle track for the 2/3/4 circuit race. Literally woke up, thought "Yeah, why not" checked online what time the race started (or if there was even one to begin with!) and got everything ready to go.
