Product Care and Warranty

At Shutt Velo Rapide we pride ourselves on the quality of our garments, the fact they are handmade in the UK and our customer service mentality. All of our garments are used and abused during development by all the Shutt Team, which includes Pro Team Orbea-For Goodness Shakes! So when a problem does come up we will do our utmost to come to a mutually agreed solution.  We know all of our kit intimately, just ask our partners..?

Do please get in touch with us as soon as possible if you feel you have a product or a warranty issue.

Faulty or Broken Zips
We only use quality zips but they do break, if you believe the failure is due to quality or manufacturing fault please contact us immediately. If the fault is outside of normal wear and tear we will arrange either a repair or an exchange free of charge.  If not then we can still arrange for a repair at cost.

Snags or Piling
With the rise in kevlar threading, reinforced saddles and inconsiderate washing can lead to snags and piling to our garments.  If you believe it to be a fault in manufacturing then please contact us to discuss and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Uneven Stitching or Lose Threads
All of our garments are handmade or hand finished so the stitching is never perfect, we feel this is one of the charms of owning a truly handmade product.  However if you believe the stitching to be excessively uneven or faulty then please get in touch as soon as you have taken delivery and talk to us.

Sportwool™ Care
Sportwool™ is a blend of Merino wool and Polyester and whilst it does not require the same care and handling as 100% merino we still recommend regular washing or at least a quick rinse after your ride.

Rips and Tears
We reinforce our jersey pockets to survive on the road use. It has been known for stitching to tear through in extreme cases. If faults or laddering does occur  we are happy to repair or replace free of charge.

Washing Instructions

We recommend a 40°C Wash with a non-Bio washing ‘powder’.

Please Note
If you are returning warranty or repair items to us, please remember to give the garments a run through the washing machine first, we are nice guys but we aren’t a laundry service ;o) And before you ask, yes we’ve had a few come back for the Dot Cotton treatment…
