Congratulations Squadra Donne: 6th in Women’s Team Race Series

After an exciting season racing in the 10th women’s team race series, Squadra Donne finished in 6th place: very respectable for a smaller team in a field of strong riders.

Jon Miles comments… “At the end of the 10th year of the Women’s Team Race Series, one which most will agree was one of the best; Motorpoint/Marshals Pasta ran out the overall winners after the final race at Coalville on 19th September with 2,519 points.  They were closely chased all year by Max Gear RT who finished second with 2,140 points and the girls from the Surrey League team who made a strong challenge towards the end of the season and ended with 1,415 points.

With 22 teams registered at the start of the season, this represents a massive increase in the number of women riders and a Series that continues to attract riders who feel comfortable in this racing environment. Almost all events in the Team Series had full fields and with about £1,000 in prize money available, the popularity of the Series is clear.”

We’re already looking forward to bigger and better things next supporting season…
