ShuttVR & Squadra Donne Compete in MTB XC Series – 21st July ’10

After a successful 4th place at the British series round 4, held in Dalby forest, my next challenge was the 4th round of the Southern series, held in Bordon Hampshire. On the first lap I battled my way to stay upfront with the series leaders but soon after few miles into the race my pace dropped and couldn’t get into a rhythm.

One of those days I guess…just a bad day at the office!

Although I was painfully aware that I was not performing very well I still managed to enjoy the technical sections that Bordon has to offer.

The end result was 5th in the master category which is not too bad considering this is my first year competing in the British and Southern MTB XC series.

It was hot and dry and my Shutt Velo Rapide Merino Perform Sportwool jersey kept me cool, dry and smelling fresh

Next MTB race will be held on the 22nd of August at Alton Hampshire .This will be the 5th and final round of the Southern series.
